Expanding Business Opportunities for Companies through the Use of “Dapp Portal”
March 11th, 2025 – LINE NEXT Inc. (“LINE NEXT”) and 0x Consulting Group Pte. Ltd. (“0xC”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the use of “Dapp Portal” (hereinafter referred to as the “Platform”), operated by LINE NEXT, and to create an environment where companies can easily leverage digital items and Web3 technology. This partnership aims to strengthen collaborations across various industries and create new use cases for Mini Dapps on “Dapp Portal”, thereby driving the growth of the digital item market.
What is Dapp Portal?
Dapp Portal is a platform provided by LINE NEXT for decentralized applications (Dapps) that enables companies to leverage Mini Dapps accessible directly from LINE Messenger to offer innovative digital services to users. Upon its launch on January 22, 2025, 32 Mini Dapps were available, and the number of cumulative users exceeded 10 million just 10 days after the service began. Furthermore, within one month of its launch, the cumulative users exceeded 35 million, with the most popular Dapp attracting 1.7 million users and the highest-grossing Dapp generating approximately 120 million JPY in revenue.
By leveraging this platform, companies can deliver new customer experiences utilizing blockchain technology, strengthen brand engagement, and develop new revenue models.
Overview of the Collaboration
Under this MOU, LINE NEXT and 0xC will collaborate in the following areas:
- Promotion of “Dapp Portal”: Establishing an environment where companies can leverage Mini Dapps to develop and deploy digital services utilizing Web3 technology.
- Creation of Cross-Industry Mini Dapp Use Cases: Supporting the adoption of Mini Dapps across various industries, including entertainment, finance, retail, gaming, and healthcare.
- Collaboration in Marketing: Jointly planning and executing promotional initiatives to drive user acquisition and retention for businesses utilizing Dapp Portal.
- Expansion of the Digital Item Business: Exploring co-development opportunities with companies to establish business models utilizing digital items and promoting the development of new digital items, products, and services.
